"The temporary exclusive Beer and Wine festival, called ""Bangkok Bistro Riverfront,"" is located on the riverfront of the significant Chaophraya River in Bangkok. It opened at the end of 2011, timed with happy moments such as Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and even lovely moments in early 2012, like Valentine's Day. The festival will remain open until March 4th, 2012.
Due to the constraints of limited construction time and budget, as well as the site’s history as an old harbor for export/import merchandise, the modular system of ""crates"" was chosen as the solution for this project. These ""crates"" can represent both an object easily made in a manufacturing system and reflect the feeling of cargo from the past. Additionally, they help save on decoration costs since the crates themselves serve as decorations.
The crates will be used throughout the project in various ways, such as seating, tables, buckets for ice and beer towers, and can also be creatively extended for use by the visitors.
Another part of the project is the all-in-one landmark, entrance hall, meeting point, photography spot, and multimedia screen, which takes the form of a large box representing a big present for all the customers.
It is a 6x6x6 meter cubic steel skeleton structure, stretched with transparent fabric that creates the silhouette images of people walking through the entrance hall.
On special occasions, the structure will be mapped with multimedia (in collaboration with Eyedropper Fill), making the cube livelier with various graphics that correspond to the season."
