ร้านอาหารและบาร์บนชั้น 58 ของอาคาร OCC ถ่ายทอดแรงบันดาลใจจาก “สมาคมชนชั้นสูง” นำเสนอความเป็นไทยในแบบที่ชาวต่างชาติสามารถเข้าใจได้ ผ่านบรรยากาศที่ผสมผสานความหรูหราของสยามในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 เข้ากับกรุงเทพฯ ในปัจจุบัน
ทางเข้าถูกออกแบบให้เป็นม่านโลหะที่เล่นกับเอฟเฟ็กต์แสงและเงาเมื่อมองจากภายนอก ให้ความรู้สึก Surreal สร้างความตื่นตาตื่นใจให้กับผู้มาเยือน
จุดเด่นของร้านคือเคาน์เตอร์บาร์ที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจาก “ฆ้องวง” ถ่ายทอดเอกลักษณ์ของเครื่องดนตรีไทย และสอดคล้องไปกับโชว์บรรเลงระนาด เหนือบาร์คือโคมไฟลูกแก้วใสขนาดใหญ่ ช่วยสร้างมิติของแสง และเป็นฉากหลังให้กับ DJ Booth ด้วย
พื้นที่นั่งริมหน้าต่างถูกตีความจาก “ตั่ง” ออกแบบเป็นที่นั่งสองชั้น เสมือนการนั่งบนแท่นบัลลังก์ เปิดมุมมองทั้งภายในร้านและทิวทัศน์กรุงเทพฯ จากมุมสูงขึ้น
ผนังภายในเลือกใช้ภาพพิมพ์ของ “สยามเมืองเก่า” ล้อไปกับบรรยากาศเมืองในปัจจุบัน และบนฝ้ากระจกได้มีการเพ้นท์ด้วยสีขาวคล้ายหมอก สร้างบรรยากาศเสมือนอยู่บนท้องฟ้า
ผ้าหุ้มภายในร้านเลือกใช้ผ้าของ Jim Thompson ที่มีลวดลายเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ถ่ายทอดความหรูหราและศิลปะไทยในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 เชื่อมโยงกับมรดกของราชวงศ์ไทย
ข้อค้นพบจากการออกแบบครั้งนี้ คือการสร้างประสบการณ์ Food and Beverage ที่แตกต่าง บอกเล่า “ความเป็นไทย” ด้วยการผสมผสานองค์ประกอบตะวันตกเข้ากับศิลปะในแบบที่ IF ไม่เคยทำมาก่อน และทำให้เราได้เรียนรู้เสน่ห์ของมรดกไทยในมิติใหม่เพิ่มขึ้น

Siam Societies
Located on the 58th floor of the OCC Tower, Siam Societies is a restaurant and bar that reinterprets the idea of an “elite society,” expressing Thainess in a way that international guests can easily connect with. The design merges the elegance of Siam during the reign of King Rama V with the vibrancy of modern-day Bangkok.
The entrance takes shape as a metal curtain that plays with light and shadow, creating a surreal effect that draws visitors in with a sense of wonder.
The highlight of the space is the bar counter, inspired by the “Khong Wong”, a traditional Thai percussion instrument. This element reflects the cultural character of Thai music and connects naturally with live ranad (xylophone) performances. Floating above, oversized glass orbs act as luminous chandeliers, adding depth to the lighting and setting the stage for the DJ booth.
Seating by the windows is reimagined from the traditional Thai “tang” daybed, here designed as a two-level arrangement reminiscent of a throne. This design opens perspectives both into the interior and outward to panoramic views of Bangkok.
The walls are adorned with prints of “Old Siam”, echoing the atmosphere of the city across time. On the mirrored ceiling, white hand-painted layers resemble drifting mist, creating the impression of being suspended in the sky.
Fabrics by Jim Thompson, known for their distinctive patterns, were chosen for the upholstery. These textiles carry the refinement and artistry of the Rama V period, while also linking the space to the legacy of Thai heritage.
For IF, this project became a discovery: an opportunity to design a Food & Beverage experience that conveys “Thainess” through the integration of Western influences with traditional Thai art. It opened new ways of appreciating the richness of Thai heritage in a contemporary context.
