"Suwirun has been an important part of the Tea community in Thailand for years. It doesn’t just focus on how to create the best product, but how the whole process could be most involving with the community and least damaging to the ecosystem. And they are willing to share the knowledge they’ve learnt through time, to help the tea society in Thailand. With those in mind, the architectural design approach has came up with 3 pillars that would best represent Suwirun’s new tea space for everybody to enjoy and learn about tea.

With its unique flatness site which different from ordinary sloped tea plantation, all buildings could blend with the plantation while the ripple pattern of tea plants plays with each building. The main space is the amphitheater with teacup-shaped wall built from various color local-brick that could be used for various activities (mainly for sharing knowledge in different ways for different groups of people). In the sunken tea room, while sitting, the plantation around it would act as a wall and creates the calm space for sophisticated tea ceremony. The local or leftover materials plays big parts in this project, such as leftover wooden columns from the demolished factory are used as support for the columns of the big roof."
