การรีโนเวท FMD Head Office ครั้งนี้ พนักงานในบริษัทได้มีส่วนร่วมในการเสนอความคิดเห็นในการออกแบบ เพื่อให้การเปลี่ยนแปลงในครั้งนี้สอดคล้องกับรูปแบบการทำงานของพวกเขาได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมีประเด็นทางการออกแบบที่น่าสนใจดังนี้

เราได้ปรับผังที่นั่งทำงานใหม่ จากเดิมที่แยกเป็นห้องตามแผนก ให้กลายเป็นชุดโต๊ะทำงานที่เชื่อมโยงถึงกัน ช่วยให้การสื่อสารระหว่างทีมมีประสิทธิภาพขึ้น และเพิ่มฟังก์ชันโคมไฟสำหรับโต๊ะทำงานทุกที่นั่ง

เราได้ผสานชุดโต๊ะทำงานเข้ากับตู้เก็บเอกสารให้เป็นหนึ่งเดียวกัน เพื่อใช้พื้นที่ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด โดยยังคงรักษาพื้นที่ส่วนตัวของแต่ละโต๊ะอย่างเหมาะสม และเพิ่มที่นั่งบริเวณทางเข้าออฟฟิศเพื่อเป็นที่พักคอยให้กับผู้มาติดต่อ

เราต้องการให้แสงธรรมชาติเข้ามาสู่พื้นที่ทำงานให้ได้มากที่สุด จึงออกแบบผนังที่กั้นระหว่างพื้นที่ทำงานส่วนกลางและห้องทำงานเมเนเจอร์ให้มีกระจกครึ่งบาน เพื่อให้แสงจากภายนอกทะลุผ่านห้องเมเนเจอร์เข้ามาสู่พื้นที่ส่วนกลางได้

เราดึงอัตลักษณ์ขององค์กรมาใช้กับการออกแบบฝ้าในห้องประชุมใหญ่ ให้มีลวดลายของปลาที่ว่ายวน พร้อมทั้งเตรียมพื้นที่อื่นๆ สำหรับรองรับวิถีชีวิตของพนักงาน เช่น โซนถ่ายเอกสาร, ห้องพระ และ Pantry โดยเน้นการสร้างบรรยากาศที่อบอุ่น และผ่อนคลาย

สิ่งที่เราค้นพบในครั้งนี้ คือการเปิดรับความเห็นและการออกแบบใหม่เพื่อให้ตอบสนองผู้ใช้งานมากที่สุด พื้นที่นี้จะไม่ใช่แค่รองรับการใช้งาน แต่ยังส่งผลต่อวิธีคิด วิธีทำงาน และวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนภายในอย่างแท้จริง

Integrate, Collaborate, Elevate.

For the renovation of FMD Head Office, employee engagement played a central role. Staff were actively involved in providing input throughout the design process to ensure that the transformation aligned with their working styles and functional needs. Key design strategies included the following:

We reorganized the workspace layout from a department-based, enclosed room arrangement to an open-plan configuration with interconnected desk clusters. This enhances interdepartmental communication while integrating individual task lighting at every station for greater comfort and focus.

To optimize space efficiency, the workstations were integrated with built-in storage units, combining desks and filing cabinets into a unified system. This approach maintains an appropriate level of personal space while increasing overall functionality. Additional seating was introduced at the office entrance to accommodate waiting guests.

To optimize natural daylight within the workspace, we introduced half-height glazed partitions between the central office area and the manager rooms. This allows light to filter through from exterior windows into the core workspace, creating a brighter and more open atmosphere.

Drawing on the company’s identity, we designed a custom ceiling motif for the main meeting room, inspired by the swirling motion of swimming fish. Other supporting spaces—such as the printing zone, prayer room, and pantry—were thoughtfully integrated to reflect the everyday needs of staff, with a focus on comfort and a sense of belonging.

Ultimately, what we discovered through this process is the value of inclusive design—where listening to user input results not just in a functional space, but in one that shapes the way people think, work, and live.
