“ซินแซโกย” รีโนเวทจากอาคารเก่าอายุกว่าร้อยปีในซอยนานาที่ IF เลือกเก็บโครงสร้าง สัดส่วนอาคาร รวมถึงคงรูปด้านอาคารเดิมเอาไว้ให้กลมกลืนไปกับสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบ แล้วเติมกลิ่นอายร่วมสมัยเข้าไปในงานออกแบบ เพื่อให้อาคารยังคงบอกเล่าอดีต และสร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ที่ผู้คนสามารถรับรู้ได้ตั้งแต่มาถึง
ภายนอก เราทาสีอาคารด้วยสีเทาทั้งหมด เพื่อให้ดูเรียบร้อยที่สุด และเติมเส้นสายสีส้มสดให้ไหลต่อเนื่องจากพื้น PU ภายในเชื่อมออกมาสู่พื้นที่นั่งภายนอก ป้ายชื่อร้านถูกออกแบบให้แนบเนียนไปกับอาคาร นอกจากนี้ยังมีโลโก้รูปกระต่ายตำยา ที่สามารถพบเจอได้ในทุกชั้นของอาคาร รวมถึงบนอุปกรณ์ และของใช้ประจำร้าน โดยมีทีม Studio Marketing Materials ร่วมออกแบบองค์ประกอบด้านแบรนด์ดิ้งให้กับซินแซโกยอย่างครบถ้วน
ภายใน มีการเสริมโครงสร้างคานเหล็กให้อาคารรับน้ำหนักได้มากขึ้น โดยได้คุณเล็กจาก Wor Consultant เป็นที่ปรึกษา แต่ยังคงโครงบันไดไม้ของเดิมไว้ และเพิ่มลิฟต์ขนส่งอาหารด้านข้างเพื่อความสะดวกในการบริการ ถึงแม้แต่ละชั้นจะถูกออกแบบให้มีฟังก์ชันเฉพาะตัว แต่ในขณะเดียวกันก็เชื่อมต่อถึงกันอย่างไร้รอยต่อ
ชั้นหนึ่ง โซนรับประทานอาหารและครัวเปิดที่โชว์กระบวนการทำอาหารจริง โดยอาหารที่เสิร์ฟจะเป็นอาหารสไตล์กุ๊กช็อปที่ถูกปรับปรุงให้ทันสมัยขึ้น เคาน์เตอร์ครัวทำจากไม้คอร์ก ด้านหลังตกแต่งด้วยกระจกเงาที่สะท้อนบรรยากาศภายนอก ห้องน้ำชั้นหนึ่งเราออกแบบโดยใช้วัสดุปิดผิวเป็น Stainless Steel สร้างมิติที่แตกต่างและง่ายต่อการทำความสะอาด
ชั้นสอง โซนบาร์และบูธดีเจ เติมเต็มบรรยากาศแห่งการสังสรรค์ ด้วยเพลงที่เลือกมาอย่างดีและ เครื่องดื่มที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อร้านนี้โดยเฉพาะ ไฮไลท์ของชั้นนี้คือภาพเพนต์หลังบาร์ ผลงานจาก Pi-near ศิลปินอิสระ ที่นำทักษะ Illustration มาช่วยสร้างสรรค์งานศิลป์อันโดดเด่นภายใต้ท้องบันได
ชั้นสาม รูฟท็อปบาร์เปิดโล่ง เรามีความตั้งใจให้แขกได้ขึ้นมาที่ชั้นสามก่อน เพื่อมาสัมผัสบรรยากาศในช่วงพระอาทิตย์ตก และชมวิวเมืองเก่ายามค่ำคืน ก่อนลงไปกินดื่มต่อที่ชั้นสองหรือชั้นหนึ่ง จุดเด่นของบาร์ในชั้นนี้คือตัวบาร์สีฟ้าหมุนได้ ที่สามารถปรับเปลี่ยนการใช้งานได้ตั้งแต่การนั่งชิล เป็นบูธดีเจ และจัดปาร์ตี้ส่วนตัว
ในฐานะสถาปนิก เราเชื่อว่าการออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมเป็นเพียงส่วนหนึ่งในการสร้างประสบการณ์ให้กับผู้คนที่เข้ามาใช้งาน เราดีใจที่ในโปรเจกต์นี้เรามีโอกาสได้ทดลองออกแบบทั้งสถาปัตยกรรมไปจนถึงประสบการณ์การใช้งาน เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการเก็บรักษาและบอกเล่าประวัติศาสตร์ในแบบของเรา และนั่นคือคุณค่าที่งานออกแบบที่ IF ต้องการถ่ายทอด

History, Revised Edition
“Xin Xe Goi” is a renovation of a century-old building in Soi Nana, where IF chose to preserve the structural framework, proportions, and original façade to harmonize with the surrounding context, while infusing contemporary elements into the design. The building thus continues to narrate its past while offering new spatial experiences that visitors can perceive the moment they arrive.
On the exterior, the entire façade is painted in grey for a refined appearance, with vivid orange lines extending seamlessly from the PU-coated interior floor to the outdoor seating area. The signage is designed to integrate discreetly with the building. A rabbit-and-mortar emblem—part of the project’s branding—appears on every floor, as well as on the restaurant’s equipment and everyday items. Branding components were holistically developed in collaboration with Studio Marketing Materials.
Inside, steel beams were added to strengthen the structure, with technical consultation from Khun Lek of Wor Consultant. However, the original timber staircase was retained, and a food lift was introduced at the side for operational convenience. While each floor is programmed with its own distinct function, they are all interconnected with spatial continuity.
The first floor accommodates a dining zone with an open kitchen that showcases the cooking process. The menu reinterprets traditional cookshop cuisine in a modern way. The kitchen counter is crafted from corkwood, with mirrored panels at the back reflecting the outdoor atmosphere. The restrooms on this level are finished in stainless steel, creating a distinctive spatial character while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.
The second floor features a bar and DJ booth, setting the tone for social gatherings with curated music and signature drinks crafted exclusively for this venue. A highlight of this floor is the mural behind the bar, created by independent artist Pi-near, who used illustration techniques to produce a striking artwork beneath the staircase.
The third floor is an open-air rooftop bar. Guests are encouraged to begin their visit here, experiencing the ambiance during sunset and the nighttime cityscape before continuing to dine and socialize on the lower floors. The centerpiece of this rooftop is a rotating blue bar, adaptable for casual seating, as a DJ booth, or as a private party setup.
As architects, we believe architecture is only one part of shaping the experience for people who inhabit a space. In this project, we were delighted to experiment not only with architectural design but also with curating the user experience. This became our way of preserving and reinterpreting history, which is the very essence that IF seeks to convey through design.
